A VERY special ‘poppy lady’ has been created at Brooklands Special School in Skipton to mark next week's Remembrance commemorations.
Ellie Daly, who works at the school, came up with the idea to create a dress filled with poppies, made by the students to mark Remembrance Day on Thursday.
And, it is now on show at Skipton Library.
She said: “This has been a really exciting opportunity for us all and I feel honoured for it to be placed within our community for everyone to see. It features hundreds of poppies made by our students and is striking to look at with some very unique designs.
“As a school we always mark Remembrance Day. It's important for our students to learn about what our soldiers have done for us over the years.
"It’s a day the whole nation appreciates and this tribute really brings everyone together, I hope as many people as possible will go and see it at the library."
