GLUSBURN School pupil Rosie Quigley, 7, has received her black belt in Taekwondo.
Rosie started Taekwondo at just two-and-a-half years old at the Horizon Taekwondo Academy.
She received her black belt certificate having successfully completed the Horizon Taekwondo Academy promotion test held in accordance with World Taekwondo and British Taekwondo regulations.
The two-hour exam involved the demonstration of her ‘poomsae’ (patterns) and sparring.
Astonishingly, part of the exam was spoken in Korean as Rosie had to show knowledge of technical terms. This was no problem, as she has been able to count to 10 in Korean since she was three.
Rosie was one of the youngest members of the club to take the exam.
