Church news: A big thank you to all who put the recent Carol service together at St Oswald’s church, to those who read, played and sang, decorated the Christmas trees and windows, fonts and porches. There was also lots of cleaning - sweeping, vacuuming and polishing before the big weekend. Baby Jesus was in his manger and was watched over by a brightly illuminated angel in the church porch and there was a knitted nativity scene inside St Oswald’s. The pedestal arrangement and trees were as always very striking too. The service on Sunday will be a short and said Holy Communion commencing at 9am.
