THE hard working team behind Gargrave' annual pantomime has thanked everyone for supporting this year's panto, and says it can't wait to be back again in 2023.
Oz - The Panto was performed in front of large and appreciative audiences in the village hall. The much loved film with Judy Garland was adapted for the panto by Edward and Beverley Munday, using television's Strictly judges, Darcey, Bruno, Craig and Len, and was directed by Chrissee Platt.
Darcey was played by Laura Lipscome, and Aunt Em was Peter Poulter, while the scarecrow was played by Cassia Sauer, the tin man by Duncan Faulkner and the lion, Neil Hellewell.
Paul Smith played the wiz, while the wicked witch was played by Claire Addis. A trio of good witches were played by Anna Burke, Ellie Addis and Poppy Tetley.
Around 30 people were in the cast, plus many more behind the scenes helping to make the panto a successful community event.
