A CELEBRATION marking 60 years of Skipton Civic Society is currently underway at the town's library.
A display in the upstairs reference section of Skipton Library, gives details of the achievements of the society over the last six decades as well as details of its publications.
A spokesperson said: "We hope that this will bring the work of the society to a wider audience and hopefully increase our membership."
It shows some of the projects which have been successfully completed by the society over the last 60 years such as improvements to The Ginnel, Gawflat Meadow, and Mill Bridge.
Also detailed are the Skipton Map project, and the ongoing Coach Street Heritage Action Zone.
The civic society was formed in 1961 with the intention of actively maintaining the town’s unique character.
The exhibition runs until the end of April.
