Bolton Abbey

Rectors message: This coming Sunday is Mothering Sunday. It is traditionally this Sunday when we lighten the Lenten fast and give thanks for mothers and our Mother Church. We remember particularly today all those who are mothers to children and give thanks for all the work they do and for all their work which is so often unseen. Their service greatly enriches all our lives. We also remember this Sunday the mothers of Ukraine. Those who are looking after their children in the face of terrifying bombardments and those fleeing with their children. May we continue to pray for them and offer them the same love and hospitality which we show to our children and which they show to theirs.

Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe: After maintaining our vigil at the Priory Church for over two years, we give thanks to God for answering our prayers for her release. May we hold Nazanin, Richard and Gabriella in our prayers.

Other displays will reflect daily life in Malhamdale over the years, for example, in education, farming, places of worship and businesses.
