SETTLE Pool is due to reopen in the summer following its exciting redevelopment.
Its not the first time improvements have been made at the pool, which was originally built 50 years ago.
A quick scurry through the Craven Herald archives came up with this picture of a reopening that took place in April, 1996.
Carrying out the ceremonial ribbon-cutting in front of young swimmers, all eager to get back into the water, was Bradford born swimmer Adrian Moorhouse, an Olympian who dominated British swimming in the late 1980s and who won gold for the 100 metre breaststroke at the 1988 Olympics in Seoul, Korea.
