A DISTRICT cricket league has run up a total of £2,700 for Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice.
Each year, Mewies Solicitors Craven & District Cricket League host a series of cup matches to raise money for the hospice.
The amount the cricket league raised at the cup final, held at Oakworth Cricket Club on July 29 last year, was boosted by district-wide members before being handed over to the hospice’s fundraising team.
Chris Todd, treasurer of the Mewies Solicitors Craven & District Cricket League, said: “We are very proud to be associated with, and to be able to support, Manorlands Hospice and will continue to help the charity which is very close to many people's hearts.”
The Oxenhope hospice's community fundraiser Adam Brunskill added: "I would like to thank Mewies Solicitors and the Craven and District Cricket League for their continued support. The funds will help us continue to provide expert and compassionate care."
