VILLAGERS in Tosside are preparing for a bumper bank holiday weekend of Platinum Jubilee celebrations to celebrate the Queen's 70th anniversary on the throne.
On Thursday, there will be a hog roast, music and bar at the village hall. Festivities will start at 4pm and there will be fireworks at 9.45pm.
Throughout the four-day weekend, there will be a flower festival in St Bartholomew's Church, open every day.
On Saturday, there will be a plant sale, art exhibition and coffee morning in the village hall.
And, on Sunday, there will be a carving buffet lunch in the village hall, from 12.30pm, booking is essential.
The Platinum Jubilee service will take place in the church at 7pm, after which the bar will be open in the village hall for an informal get together, all are welcome.
