POLICE are appealing for information after several high-value cycles were stolen from a shop in Settle.
Overnight between Sunday May 22 and Monday May 23, offenders used a van to force open the door to the shop in the Market Place. Once inside, they selected bikes from the showroom, and loaded them into a van before driving away.
A police spokesperson said: "It is believed the van used in the burglary was previously stolen from the Keighley area. It was white, and marked with the name of a window installation company. Another vehicle, possibly a dark-coloured SUV, may have been travelling with the van.
"Anyone with information or relevant video footage - such as dashcam or CCTV - of the burglary, is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police."
Anyone with any information is asked to email richard.sutcliffe@northyorkshire.police.uk or phone 101, select option two and ask for PC Richard Sutcliffe. People can also contact Crimestoppers anonymously, by phone or their website. Quote reference 12220088002 when passing information.
