POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a Landrover Discovery was stolen from a farm in the Tosside area earlier this week.
The vehicle was taken in the early hours of Tuesday (June 7), abandoned in the Newsholme area, but stolen again before it could be recovered by its owner, say police.
A spokesperson for the police's Ribble Valley Rural Task Force, said the vehicle was easily recognisable because of its large wheels and appealed for anyone who may have seen it being driven from Tosside to Newsholme at around 12.45am and 2am on Tuesday.
"Images of the vehicle, with significant front end damage, were taken when the vehicle was later located in the Knot Lane area of Newsholme; however prior to it being recovered by the owner it was unfortunately stolen again.
"As can be seen, the vehicle is quite distinctive with the extra large/extra wide tyres as it was being used as a farm vehicle.
"We are keen to find out if any properties along the route between Tosside and Newsholme - Settle Lane, Kiln Lane, Neps Lane, Settle Road and Knot Lane - may have CCTV footage of the vehicle in transit between 12. 45am and 2am on June 7."
