POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a young boy was bitten by a dog outside Booths Supermarket in Settle.
The nine year old suffered broken skin and bruising in the incident which happened at around 6pm on Thursday last week (July 21), but did not require further treatment, police have said.
A spokesperson for Craven Police said: "The dog was tied up, but after the incident, became loose and ran into the supermarket where it was restrained.
"We're appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who might have further information which could help the investigation."
