FELL rescue helped a woman yesterday (Tuesday) after she stumbled and injured her ankle while walking on Ilkley Moor.
A spokesperson for the Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association said: "The team was called out by the Yorkshire Ambulance Service to attend a casualty who had stumbled and gone over on her ankle at the bottom of Rocky Valley steps above White Wells.
"Yorkshire Ambulance Service Hazardous Area Response team arrived shortly after team members with medical kit so casualty care was left to them while the team assembled a stretcher for the carry out, however the HART Polaris vehicle accessed the scene so this was used for speed of evacuation to the roadside.
"We wish the lady a speedy and full recovery."
It was the 50th call out this year for the Grassington based UWFRA.
