SKIPTON Town Hall is to play host to the BBC's flagship topical debate programme Question Time.
Chaired by Fiona Bruce, the programme, which goes out on BBC One at 10.45pm on Thursdays, features guests from the worlds of politics and the media, answering questions posed by members of the public
And, on Thursday, November 24 it will be up to people in Craven to ask the questions.
Applications to join the audience in the concert hall of the newly refurbished town hall are now being invited.
Question Time audience members are asked to come up with two questions which will be considered by the programme makers. All who apply have to complete a form. Forms are confidential and are needed for the 'purpose of balance' says the BBC.
On its website the BBC states: "It's important that as many applicants as possible get the chance to be part of a Question Time audience. If you have been in a QT audience within the past ten years we are delighted that you want to do it all over again, but please give others a chance and don't apply this time round. If you have applied before but not been successful, we welcome your application."
A spokesperson for Skipton Town Hall, which is owned and managed by Craven District Council, said it was very exciting that the programme was to be broadcast from the town hall and urged people to apply to be part of the audience.
To apply to join the audience on November 24, go to: www.bbc.co.uk/questiontime and click on 'apply to the audience', or telephone 0330 123 9988.
