THE 'world premiere' of Alice in Wonderland: The Movie, completed over the last two years by North Craven youngsters is to take place at Settle Victoria Hall.
In March, 2020, The Courthouse Kids were about to start rehearsing for their musical production of Alice in Wonderland. But then lockdown happened, and everything was put on hold.
Instead, they -with a team of adult supporters - made a film version, and to celebrate the release of the DVD, it will be shown for the first time on Sunday, September 4.
Pat Harding, of The Courthouse Kids, said: "We found lots of amazing locations; we were generously hosted by many friends and supporters when we descended on their fields and garden and homes. We learned to use cameras, recording equipment and lighting out in the open and in churches and cellars.
"The screening is open to everyone, though our ‘stars’ and our amazing sponsors will be honoured on the red carpet, with a Nonsecco and jam tart reception along with photographs by our professional photographers.
"In years to come, our amazing Courthouse Kids will see themselves on film and remember with pride that they actually make a film during Covid."
The screening will take place at 2pm. Details at: https://www.settlevictoriahall.org.uk/
