GLUSBURN Community & Arts Centre has launched a fundraising appeal to save its historic clock.
The timepiece, which dates back to 1911, needs essential repairs costing over £2,000.
Now trustees at the Colne Road building are appealing to the public to help preserve the clock, which was manufactured by Potts of Leeds.
"The clock is carefully maintained by a volunteer and serviced annually by Derby-based Smiths," said a spokesperson.
"Unfortunately, during a recent service, Smiths found that the clock is in need of some intensive care. Part of the mechanism needs to be removed and taken to the company's workshop for essential repairs, at a cost of £2,180.
"In challenging times of rising costs and limited budgets, we are appealing to people to help keep this part of Glusburn's heritage ticking for the community for many more years."
People can donate online at crowdfunder.co.uk/p/tick-tock-dont-stop---glusburn-institute-clock, or call at the centre office.
