DRYSTONE Radio, a long established local community radio station that serves parts of North Yorkshire, West Yorkshire and Lancashire is extending its reach.
The station’s primary broadcast areas are Ilkley & Skipton - however from this week onwards the station is now available across a much wider area on the Bradford DAB+ Network alongside its existing coverage on 102 & 103.5 FM, smart speakers and smart phones.
This news means that two very familiar voices have returned to the West Yorkshire airwaves - Chris Johnson, at breakfast, and James Proctor at drivetime.
Chris was born in West Yorkshire and presented the Breakfast Show on Pulse 2 acrossWest Yorkshire for six years. He was with the radio station (& it’s sister station Pulse 1) for over ten years and has presented on many stations in Yorkshire including Radio Aire, Viking FM and MAGIC.
Drystone’s Drivetime presenter, James Proctor, knows West Yorkshire like the back of his hand.
Born in Wakefield, James worked as a news journalist on BBC local radio across the whole of Yorkshire for many years before presenting on BBC Radio 5 Live in London. These days, you can find him broadcasting to the Bradford district at teatime.
