FORMER TV chef Susan Brookes had the tricky task of judging the costumes during the Monster Mash Halloween party in her home village of Long Preston.
The event was organised by the Long Preston Playing Fields Committee who thanked all the businesses, individuals and familes which supported the Halloween fundraising events which, as well as the Monster Mash party, included a half term Halloween trail, a best dressed village window, a best Halloween costume and best carved pumpkin.
Mrs Brookes picked winner Willow Bibby and runners-up Jackson Burdock and Piper Woodcock after being impressed with their scary costumes.
The playing fields committee’s remit is to raise enough money to maintain and improve the playing fields, equipment, tennis courts and pavilion for users of all ages and thanks the community as it continues to support the group.
