THE Black Horse Hotel in Grassington has opened its pub doors to anyone local needing a warm, safe place this winter - and that goes to those working from home, too.
The pub offers a place where people can stay warm and get company daily from 11.30 am until 9 pm without the risk of soaring energy bills.
Black Horse general manager Agi Rusinek said: "We've realised that as the pub is staying open through winter and we already offer long opening hours, it makes sense to open our doors to the most vulnerable. We always keep our log fire lit. We provide free WIFI, board games and complimentary tea and coffee.
"We are currently looking at free books, magazines and newspapers for anyone to read. The locals will be able to find refuge when needed. We have space we can offer, and our fantastic team will make everyone feel comfortable and welcome. The local community has been there for us when we needed their custom; now it's our turn to give back."
The pub is also opening its doors to anyone wanting to work from the pub instead of from home with WIFI available. There is also a quiet space in the hotel's dining room, subject to availability.
