POLICE in Skipton are appealing for information following a spate of burglaries at the town's Broughton Road allotments.
Around seven burglaries have been reported at the Skipton Town Council owned allotments site between Monday, December 12 and today (Monday, December 19), with police suspecting more are yet to be discovered.
Inspector Julie Earnshaw, Craven Neighbourhood Policing team, said: “The burglaries will be investigated thoroughly and anybody involved in the despicable and unnecessary damage and burglaries will be dealt with robustly”.
Police are appealing to anyone who has an allotment at the site to check it for damage or possible break-in and if an offence has taken place to report it by telephoning 101 or via the North Yorkshire Police website, using the reference: 12220223616.
