CRAVEN Samaritans have been busy today switching 'Blue Monday' with 'Brew Monday' and reminding people there is always 'time for a cuppa and a catch-up'.
The third Monday in January, today, January 16, is often dubbed 'the most difficult day of the year'; but instead of 'Blue Monday', Samaritans have been out and about including at Skipton and Silsden and Steeton railway stations with their very own 'Brew Monday'.
A spokesperson for Craven Samaritans said: "We know there’s no such thing as ‘Blue Monday’ and that feeling low is not just reserved for Mondays or a random day in January. So we are saying out with the blue and in with the brew.
"The idea is to encourage people to reach out and offer a cuppa and a chat to someone they think may need it. Local Samaritans will be out in the community including at Skipton Railway Station and Silsden and Steeton, giving out teabags, biscuits, and information."
