A 48-YEAR old Skipton man who stole a £44.99 Tower air fryer from the town's Boyes Store has been given a community order, banning him from the shop.
At York Magistrates Court, Darren Leigh Brewin admitted to the theft of the air fryer from the store, in Swadford Street, on November 24, last year.
At the hearing, on January 18, magistrates sentenced Brewin to a 12 month community order with an exclusion requirement, barring him from entering the Skipton store for the length of the order.
Brewin, of Whinny Gill Road, will also have to pay a surcharge of £114. There was no order made for costs.
A warrant was issued for Brewin's arrest after he failed to turn up and answer the charge at Skipton Magistrates Court on January 13.
