FAMILIES are being invited to jump on their tractors and head over to Thornton Hall Country Park, Thornton-in-Craven, for a half-term week full of farm fun.

Beginning on Saturday, February 11, and running all week until Sunday, February 19, there will be hands-on animal encounters and bottle feeding the newest arrivals; to indoor and outdoor play areas and walkabout entertainment with the farm’s characters and mascots.

As well as opportunities to bottle feed the farm’s newest arrivals. And with the friendly resident Boer goat babies due this February, visitors will be able to meet some new kids on the block too.

Boer goats originate from South Africa, the name ‘boer’ meaning ‘farmer’ so they feel right at home here at the Farm Park.

Owners of the visitor attraction, which was recently crowned 'Small Event of the Year' at the Lancashire Tourism Awards, says they have taken into account the current financial pressures on families and have aimed to include as much in the cost of entry.

Visitor, Carla Hughes said: “I’d been struggling to find a day out suitable for my three boys aged five, eight and 11. This ticked all the boxes. So worth travelling to and great value for money.”
