A SETTLE man has been jailed after admitting burglary of a dwelling.
Ryan Heywood, 40, of Delaney Court, had originally pleaded not guilty to the charge where he was alleged to have entered a property, also in Delaney Court, Settle, as a trespasser and stolen three speakers and a white-domed, colour-change lamp of a value unknown.
The theft occurred on February 3 this year.
Heywood appeared before magistrates stting in York on February 14 where he admitted the charge.
Magistrates said a custodial sentence was appropriate in relation to his previous record. He was jailed for eight months and also ordered to pay a surcharge of £187 for which a collection order was made.
His guilty plea was taken into consideration.
