Rector’s message: This Sunday is known a Quinquagesima which is the last Sunday before Lent and a reminder that we have just 50 days until Easter. In the Orthodox Church, this Sunday is known as ‘Forgiveness Sunday’ as Christians ask God for forgiveness from their sins so that they may begin Lent with a good heart. We all have so much to ask God to be forgiven and, at the same time, we need to forgive those who have trespassed against us. If we allow such things to fester then our soul can be blighted. Let us all ask forgiveness and seek to forgive others this week so that we may meet Easter, the day of Resurrection, with a pure heart.
