THE Ribble Valley Jazz and Blues Festival is back over the early May Bank Holiday weekend for the 14th time.
Entirely run by volunteers, the festival will take place in and around Clitheroe from Friday, April 28 to Monday, May 1.
One of the organisers, Phil Lee from Elslack, said there would be something for everyone, from concerts to street and community music.
He said: "The festival has always encouraged new talent and we are delighted that our opening concert is the exceptional young saxophonist and flautist Jasmine Myra with her calm, jazz inspired music supported by some of the North’s best young talent, including harpist Alice Roberts.
"Many bars, restaurants and cafes will have live music. Saturday evening is party night with the 10 piece collective KC and the Groove Family celebrating cultural fusion with their mix of Afrobeat, Highlife, Jungle and Breakbeats.
"On Sunday, sax player Aaron Liddard and his band will be followed by Nearly Dan bringing to life Steely Dan’s great music. The final concert on Monday sees the local Swing City Band playing James Bond themes.
"After some tough last few years this live music Festival is thriving and doing it’s very best to bring fine music to music lovers. "
