SKIPTON'S first ever market for young traders will take place on Sunday (June 4) at the canal basin.
24 young traders, aged from 13 to 30-years old will be selling their wares at the market, which is being held on the same day as Skipton Car Show. They will be selling all sorts from honey, loaded fries, and cheesecake to plants, handmade products, art, and jewellery.
The traders will also be joined by four talented singers who will be performing live during the day.
Organised by Skipton Town Council, the youth trader market received more applications than any other young trader market in the country.
Toby Garbutt, council market officer, said: "As part of the National Markets Traders Federation (NMTF) Young Traders Markets, our traders will have the chance to be selected to go through into the Young Traders Regional Finals and potentially go ahead to the national final."
The market is due to run from 10am to 4pm.
