WITH fixtures cancelled for both Skipton women's team and the club's 3rd XI - men's team - history was made at Skipton Cricket Club recently when the two teams went head-to-head.
The game, which ended in a draw, was only the second hard ball game the newly formed women's team has played, and it was played out in the friendliest and sunniest of ways - with huge support from the boundary from proud parents, friends and relatives.
Excitingly for the future of the women's team and cricket in Skipton, eight of the ten wickets taken were from players under the age of 21 years old.

Whatever age or ability, it welcomes all new players, and has accredited coaches to support new players development.
