A RECORD almost 30 gardens in Gargrave will be open to the public over the weekend of Saturday, June 17 and Sunday, June 18.
There will also be live music playing and artists at work in some of the gardens for the return of the popular community event.
Lunches, on the Saturday, and refreshments over the weekend will be on sale at Gargrave Village Hall, with proceeds going to St Andrew's Church.
A spokesperson said: "Several new gardens will be open this year, and others that have not been open for a few years. The event will also host the fantastic Quirky Container competition run by Linda at the Dalesman, with the Mark Tootill Financial Planning Trophy ready to be presented to the winning container."
Gargrave open gardens runs on Saturday, June 17 from 11am to 5pm; and on Sunday, June 18, from 1.30pm to 5pm. Admission passports are now on sale at Twin Locks Garden Centre and at Gargrave Co-Op at £6, a saving of £2 if bought in advance of the event. For more information visit: gargraveopengardens.com.
