NATURALIST and author Mark Cocker will lead a 'deep encounter with nature' at Broughton Hall, near Skipton, on Saturday, July 8.
The estate's 'Broughton Sanctuary' started on a re-wilding project three years ago, involving the planting of 350,000 trees. This will be an opportunity for the public to visit the estate and see how it is progressing.
Kelly Hollick, project manager, Broughton Sanctuary, said: "Broughton Sanctuary is really excited to invite the community to share in our nature recovery journey, and Mark Cocker offers a fabulous opportunity for people to come and learn about our native wildlife."
The day’s events include a morning nature walk, from 10am to midday, and an evening talk at 7pm. People can book to attend just one, or both, but spaces are limited.
