FAMILY-run care group Spellman Care received a 'Highly Commended' award at a recent Stars of Social Care Awards, in London, hosted by ITV's This Morning presenter Josie Gibson.
Spellman Care has been operting in the district for over 30 years and their care homes include Craven Nursing Home, Ghyll Royd Nursing Home, Springbank Care Home and Steeton Court Nursing Home.
The national awards on June 17 were held at the Marriott Hotel, in Regent's Park.
Spellman Care was first nominated for the awards back in April, reaching the finals for four separate awards in May. The awards included “The Outstanding Contribution To Care Homes Award”, “The Joy Maker Award”, “The Above and Beyond Team Award” and “The Outstanding Care Home Provider Award” for which the group was recognised.
Group operations manager Philippa Young said: “It is an honour to have not only be finalist in four categories but also have been highly commended as an outstanding care home provider. This is fantastic recognition for the exceptional work that everyone does.
We are passionate that people living in Spellman Care homes enjoy the best possible standard of care and that our staff teams feel valued and effectively supported to provide this.
