GARGRAVE'S open gardens weekend raised a record more than £6,800 for St Andrew's Parish Church.
Duncan Faulkner , one of the organising team, said: "Once again Gargrave was thronged with people clutching their yellow passports, making their pilgrimage from garden to garden.
"Thanks to the efforts of all involved, the event raised a superb record total of £6,875 for St Andrew's Church. This includes the proceeds of May's very successful plant sale.
"The team are already thinking ahead to next year's event which will be on 22 to 23 June 2024.
