THE tenants of a popular Skipton pub have confirmed its imminent closure.
A spokesman said the Craven Heifer, in Grassington Road, will close its doors on Sunday, July 16. They said a statement is to be issued shortly.
Parties which had booked future events at the Craven Heifer are having to find alternative venues.
The pub and restaurant was the sister business of Krafty Kitchen restaurant, in Keighley Road, Skipton, which closed on March 20 this year.
A woman known to the Herald has been let down twice after booking her autumn wedding reception at Krafty Kitchen and then moving it to the Craven Heifer when it was first announced the restaurant was closing. She is now looking for another venue.
The spokesman said the Krafty Kitchen is due to reopen again in a few weeks as Uncle Sam's Steak House. Again, more information is to be released soon.
The Craven Heifer was run as part of the Whitcut Consultancy Group business. According to Companies House the business is in compulsory liquidation and winding up commenced on June 7, 2023.
The nature of the consultancy group business is listed as: Freight transport by road; operation of warehousing and storage facilities for land transport activities; public houses and bars; other service activities not elsewhere classified.
The owners of the Craven Heifer are the Trustees of Farm Moor Estate. The Whitcut Consultancy Group has been a tenant since 2018.
