THE Friends of Airedale is to hold an evening of classic rock and pop music in Glusburn aid of Airedale Hospital.
It will be held at Glusburn Community and Arts Centre on Saturday September 9 with all proceeds going to help benefit patients and visitors to the hospital.
Rock Choir Keighley and four-piece party band Rhythm Junkies will join forces to present a toe-tapping evening of well-known rock and pop anthems.
Organiser Sue Ingham said: “It promises to be a really fun night. Keighley Rock Choir is very well-established and we can expect a diverse foray into an illustrious back catalogue from the Rhythm Junkies. This is the first time an event like this has been held in support of the Friends of Airedale, so we’re hoping for a great level of support from the local community to raise funds for a worthwhile cause.”
Tickets for the event, which will start at 7.30pm, cost £12 and the bar and doors open at 6.45pm.
Friends of Airedale is a group of volunteers dedicated to supporting Airedale General Hospital by undertaking a number of roles within the hospital and in the community.
It also raises money to buy equipment to benefit patients and – in the past – has donated between £150,000 to £200,000 worth of equipment and services to the Airedale NHS Foundation Trust each year.
