THE main pool at Craven Leisure, Skipton, is closed today (Monday) due to what is being described as an 'incident'.
It is not believed to be serious, with staff at the North Yorkshire owned centre saying the pool will be open tomorrow as usual after the pool has had 12 hours to 'cycle and clear'.
A spokesperson said: "Due to an incident in the main pool we have had to close the main pool for the remainder of the day. We are working to correct the problem now, but we will have to give the pool 12 hours to cycle and clear from this point onwards.
"Our teaching pool will remain open as planned for the rest of the day. This will likely be busy all day so may need to wait to get a space in the pool. The inflatable session this evening will also be cancelled.
"This will also affect the lessons for this evening, with all our main pool lessons having to be cancelled, the lessons in the teaching pool will continue as normal. We are sorry for the disappointment this brings, particularly on a rainy day like today."
