KEEP a look out for football-mad youngster Lola Hird as she's likely to be a contender for the England Lionesses in just a few years time.
The Skipton 11-year-old, who is about to start Skipton Academy, has just completed a season with Leeds United and has now signed with York City FC's Academy as a first team squad member. She will be training with the U12s and U14s in the junior premier League while continuing with her Skipton-based coaches Fred Midgley and Sophie Hawkins for one-two-one sessions.
Lola has honed her footballing skills by previously playing for Skipton Juniors and Bradford City FC where she was awarded Club Player of the Year.
Skipton-based AMC Heading Solutions continues to sponsor Lola so she can keep on working towards realising her England dream.
She chose York over the other Academy places as they are known to have a fantastic player pathway to progress through and have strong links with the England camp.
Lola flew through her medical and fitness screening and played her first match against Manchester United recently where she gained as assist.
She hopes to represent Skipton Academy once the term begins and help bring some silverware to their cabinets.
