COMPETITIVE swimming club Settle Stingrays is fundraising for club funds and some of its young swimmers are taking part in an Ironman challenge at Salt Ayre pool, bike and cycle track, Lancaster, this coming Sunday.
The Ironman consists of a 2.4mile (3.8km) swim, a 112mile (180km) cycle and a 26.2mile (42.2km) run.
Each swimmer will complete the total swim and the run and cycle event will be a cumulative event. There will be eight swimmers from the club taking part aged between 10 and 15 years old.
All money raised will be split between Settle Stingrays and Cancer Research.
