A SUMMER fete held at a Skipton care home at the beginning of September raised more than £700 which will be spent on activities for the residents.
The annual event at Craven Nursing Home, in Keighley Road, was attended by Skipton mayor Cllr Sheila Bentley.
Steph Bowers, registered manager said: “Thank you to everyone who joined us. The weather was glorious and we had lots of fun. We had excellent feedback from lots of families and friends throughout the day."
The fete was open to the whole community with visitors of all ages enjoying the day’s activities, including a bouncy castle and performances by Skipton Brass Band and Northern Dance members.
For the first time the fete also opened its doors to businesses with the opportunity to hold a stall. Stalls included Carers' Resource, jewellery, cards, seaglass items, skincare products, cakes, the Trefoil Guild and many more.
