A FORMER tourism office for Craven District Council in Skipton has been put up for sale with a price tag of £120,000.
The two-storey building in Coach Street was used temporarily by the former Craven Council from February, 2019 as its information and visitor centre while the town hall was closed for major redevelopment work.
North Yorkshire Council, which replaced Craven Council in April this year following local government reorganisation has said it would be carrying out a review of its property portfolio, the combination of eight former authorities.
Agents, Align Chartered Surveyors, describe the Coach Street property as having a basement, ground floor office and a residential flat on the first floor, together "providing a fantastic opportunity for the purchaser to redevelop and refurbish the building."
It states: "The property features two offices and a small kitchenet with a w/c on the ground-floor. The basement can be accessed from both ground-level and the rear yard. On the first level, residential accommodation can be accessed from the alley down the side of the property."
The sales particulars continue by describing Skipton as having a canal, with delightful walks, and a railway station with daily links to Bradford, Leeds and Carlisle.
