A SOCIAL media page which specialises in bad or unusual parking (or both) has forwarded this photo to us which was taken on Sunday in Skipton High Street.

It shows a VW car parked on the pavement, directly on the access to the pedestrian crossing near the entrance to Otley Street.

The owner of the Facebook page, Sh**e Parking Watch UK, said it had appeared on a few Facebook pages and then around 30 people had submitted it to his page. Within 48 hours it had gone viral and had been seen by 2.5 million people.

It may have been a genuine mistake, but surely the traffic lights would have given the driver a clue that it wasn't a parking space? 

Wonder if they were given a parking ticket?
