PEOPLE are being asked to get out their festive socks and help raise money for Airedale Hospital.
Following the success of last year's fundraiser, the Airedale Hospital and Community Charity will on December 15 hold another Christmas sock day.
The charity, which raises money to support patient care and staff wellbeing, is inviting people to wear their Christmas socks and contribute a small donation of £1 to help the hospital.
Community fundraiser, Laura Hepworth, said: “The majority of our staff here at the hospital have to wear uniforms, scrubs and lots of PPE - so wearing a Christmas jumper isn’t always possible. "But they can wear Christmas socks – so everyone can join in and get festive, whilst raising funds for such a good cause."
The charity hopes individuals, businesses, schools and community groups will get into the festive spirit on December 15, get out their favourite Christmas socks and make a donation.
It is also asking people to share pictures on social media, using #sockselfies and tagging the charity @AiredaleCharity to be in with a chance of being named Sock Star 2023.
