GARGRAVE is once again the drop-off place for a Christmas shoebox appeal so children in Eastern Europe have a gift this Christmas.
The 'Give Love in a Box this Christmas' appeal is organised through T4U (Teams 4U, a registered charity. Gargrave resident Marie Chapman has been promoting the appeal for several years. She is asking that shoeboxes of gifts for boys and girls aged 3 - 5 years, 6 - 11 years and 12 years and over be left at Bramble and Fleur - formerly Poppyfields - or Gillian's Hairdressers, at 48, High Street, Gargrave.
Please drop off your box by November 30 and put a label on the outside stating the age group and whether it is for a boy or girl.
Labels can be downloaded from www.teams4u.com
You can also donate £2.50 towards transport if you wish.
Marie said: "The boxes tells the children who receives them that someone cares for them."
