FELL rescue volunteers went to the aid of a female walker after she fell off a stile in Grassington, injuring her ankle.
Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue was called out by North Yorkshire Police on Thursday last week to assist the 69 year old with a suspected broken ankle.
A UWFRA spokesperson said: "The team were quickly on scene and assessed an isolated ankle injury. The casualty was packaged onto a stretcher to carry across the only wall between her and the vehicles. She was then transferred to her vehicle for onward transport to Northallerton hospital.
"We would like to wish the casualty a speedy recovery."
