EVENTS celebrating the magic of Christmas are taking place at Bolton Abbey as Father Christmas returns to his enchanted hideaway in Strid Wood.
Families visiting the estate can follow pathways lined with hundreds of twinkling Christmas trees, discover a giant wreath created from foliage foraged on the estate, and have the chance to climb aboard a handcrafted wooden sleigh.
Children can take part in festive crafts before discovering Father Christmas in his traditional log cabin, with each child receiving a present to take home.
Visits to Father Christmas are available each weekend from Saturday, November 25 to Sunday, December 17, and every day from Monday, December 18 to Friday, December 22. Relaxed sessions are also available for children with additional needs who wish to meet Father Christmas in a more peaceful environment.
