FILM fans will be taking a trip down the yellow brick road for a screening of the all time classic The Wizard of Oz at Skipton's Plaza Cinema on Sunday, December 3.
Just the film to get everyone in the festive spirit, The Wizard of Oz, starring a youthful Judy Garland, is the magical tale of Dorothy and her friends, The Scarecrow, The Tin Man and The Cowardly Lion, as they take the yellow brick road in search of the magical Wizard of Oz.
Paul Valentine, of Skipton Film Club, said: "Watching The Wizard Of Oz on a big screen in a fabulous new print will only emphasise what a great film this is.
"The moment when Dorothy arrives in the land of Oz, stepping out into a sensational Technicolour landscape, has to be seen to be believed. We think this is going to be a wonderful cinematic experience for the whole family. If any film can be seen as timeless, this is it."
Skipton Film Club's monthly screening on December 3 will start at 5.30pm. Open to members and non members. For more details, find Skipton Film Club on Facebook.
