AN appeal has gone out for Christmas presents to give to children and older people spending the festive holiday in Airedale Hospital.
Gifts of colouring books or toys, fluffy socks or a comforting soft blanket are just some of the gifts which could cheer up a youngster in the children's unit, or a patient in one of the elderly wards, says the Airedale Hospital and Community Charity.
Laura Hepworth, community fundraiser said: “Our gift appeal is our way of bringing festive cheer to our patients who won’t be able to go home for Christmas."
The Christmas Gift Appeal runs until Wednesday, December 13. Gifts can be dropped off at the Steeton hospital's charity office - location C33 - in a small box or gift bag, with a note stating the age range and gender that the gift is intended for.
Gifts should not be wrapped. Contact the Charity at 01535 294870 or by email at anhsft.charity@nhs.net for more information or to organise dropping off your donation.
