SETTLE Rotary Club will be out and about in North Craven with Santa, his sleigh and his helpful elves from Friday (December 1).
After being spotted for the first time this year on Saturday, at the switching on of Settle's Christmas lights, when he gave out around 300 presents, Santa will be visiting Austwick first before making his usual tour of the area right up until December 21.
Meanwhile, several good causes in the area have received hundreds of pounds in funding from the club as a result of last year's sleigh collections. A total of ten groups and organisations have received a share of £2,800, including Freda's Playgroup, scouts, dementia group, Clapham Church, and playing fields.
A rotary spokesperson said: "We wanted to spread the money which was collected from last year's Santa collection round all the villages and to as many areas and ages as possible."
Santa will start his sleigh tour tomorrow (Friday) all visits are from 5pm.
The spokesperson added: "Santa is hoping to see as many children as possible and his elves will be happy to have any donations to this year's fund in cash or by card."
