THERE was a lively re-telling of the Nativity Story at Settle Parish Church in the run-up to Christmas by younger children from Settle CoE Primary School. Year one and two children, five to seven year olds, performed in front of family, friends and parishioners a story that involved aliens from a far planet and a large spaces ship.
On the last Friday afternoon before Christmas, Holy Ascension Church once again welcomed Settle Primary School pupils along with their families and friends for the popular end of term service.
Rev Julie Clarkson will lead the Benefice Communion Service, at Holy Ascension, on New Year's Eve, Sunday December 31 at 10am. The church wishes all across the three parishes of Settle, Giggleswick and Rathmell with Wigglesworth a happy new year.
