PLANS to build a single house in the garden of an existing house at Ickornshaw, Cowling, have been submitted to North Yorkshire Council.
The full application proposes a house and garage in the grounds of Mill Cottage, within the Cowling Conservation Area.
Documents with the application say the only designated heritage asset potentially affected by the proposal is the Grade two listed Town End Farm.
The design and access statement states: "The proposal is to construct a single dwelling of a scale which does not challenge the dominance of the neighbouring houses and mill buildings. The house will be located within a group of domestic buildings and a converted mill building which is now predominantly housing."
Access will be the same as to Mill Cottage and Moon Raker House.
