OUTLINE planning permission is being sought for the building of four new homes at Bowerley House, Langcliffe, Settle.
The proposed pair of three storey semi-detached homes will have three bedrooms and will be built in the domestic garden of the house, formerly the Bowerley Hotel.
The application by Steadman Construction Ltd also includes a 'solar array' to the north of the site.
In a design and access statement with the application, it is stated that the site is currently overgrown with 'numerous spoil heaps from adjacent development.'.
It states: "The proposal will develop what is currently land which has no real function and requires maintenance to enhance the locality of residential use. Each property will have its own garaging and parking including provision for visitors."
The houses will be built into the site's steep slope by 'cutting and filling'.
